Terms.
The basics of how a project with Rekraft Design works, in plain English. The full terms are agreed per project in a signed scope document.
About Rekraft Design
Rekraft Design is a small independent design studio based in London, UK. We are sister site to rekraft.agency, which is the productised offer for UK tradespeople. Rekraft Design takes on a small number of bespoke projects each quarter for general clients: brand, websites, and social.
What this page is
A summary of how a typical engagement works. Every project we take on is governed by a signed scope of work that supersedes anything on this page. If there is a conflict, the signed document wins.
How a project starts
You write to mark@rekraft.design with what you are trying to build and the timeline you have in mind. We have a discovery conversation. If we are a fit and the calendar lines up, we send a written proposal with scope, deliverables, timing, and price. The project begins once the proposal is signed and the deposit invoice is paid.
Payment
Standard structure for bespoke work is a deposit on signing, milestones tied to delivery, and a final balance on handover. Invoices are payable within fourteen days. Late payments accrue interest at the statutory rate under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
Intellectual property
On full payment of all fees, you own the final deliverables. We retain the right to display the finished work in our portfolio and case studies, including on this site, unless the scope document specifies otherwise. The working files, source code, and process artefacts remain ours unless explicitly handed over.
Confidentiality
We treat anything you share about your business, your customers, and your roadmap as confidential, and we will not share it with third parties except sub-processors we need to deliver the work (covered in the Privacy notice). If you need a separate NDA, we will sign one.
Revisions and scope
Each project includes a defined number of revision rounds at each milestone, set out in the scope document. Work outside the agreed scope is quoted as a change request before we start it.
Termination
Either side can end the engagement on written notice. If the project ends mid-flight, fees accrued to that point are due, you keep what you have paid for, and we hand over the relevant files in their current state.
Liability
Our liability for any single project is capped at the total fees paid by you for that project. We do not exclude or limit liability where the law does not permit us to: death, personal injury, or fraud.
Governing law
These terms and any signed scope document are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes go to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

These terms may be updated from time to time. The date at the top will reflect the latest version. Updates do not affect projects that are already underway, which remain governed by the scope document signed at the start.
